Epix’s breakout hit – Godfather of Harlem – is premiering this Sunday, April 18th and they have exciting news to pair with the long awaited second season. Today, global music and entertainment streaming platform, TIDAL, announced that they are partnering with EPIX’s streaming service, Epix Now for an exclusive subscription bundle. Beginning Sunday, April 18th, new users can subscribe to both TIDAL Premium and Epix Now for $12.99 per month. The streamer also premiered its new opening credits from Swizz Beatz’s track Just in Case, featuring Rick Ross and the late DMX. The bundle launches the same day as the season two premiere of Epix’s original drama series Godfather of Harlem. Through the partnership, first time members will be able to enjoy tracks from the series’ soundtrack, executive produced and supervised by Swizz Beatz as well as enjoy content on both platforms. Tracks will be released weekly every Friday beginning on April 16th through May 21st. Additionally, current TIDAL users in the US will be able to view Godfather of Harlem’s first episode, “By Whatever Means Necessary,” from season one on the platform.

The second season of the Forrest Whitaker led drama will find Whitaker’s character, Bumpy Johnson, battling the New York Crime Families for control of the lucrative and murderous “French Connection,” the pipeline for heroin that runs from Marseilles to New York Harbor. With a distribution syndicate that includes black crime bosses from other major U.S. cities, Bumpy takes a cue from his friend Malcolm X’s message of black economic nationalism. His ambitious plan will face challenges from not only the Italians but his wife Mayme, daughter Elise, rival Adam Clayton Powell, prosecutor Robert Morgenthau, and even Malcolm himself.
