Lionsgate has released the trailer, poster and photos to its upcoming crime drama “Vault,” starring Theo Rossi (Marvel’s Luke Cage) Clive Standen (NBC’s Taken), Samira Wiley (Orange Is The New Black, The Handmaid’s Tale), William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects, Raising Arizona), and Don Johnson (TV’s “Miami Vice,” Django Unchained) star alongside legendary “gangster” actors Vincent Pastore (HBO’s “The Sopranos”)and Chazz Palminteri (The Usual Suspects).
The setting: 1975 Providence, Rhode Island. The players: two small-time crooks vs. the mafia. The loot: $30 million.
In 1975, a group of small time criminals pulled off one of the biggest heists in American history by robbing a vault at the Hudson Fur Storage in the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island. The vault contained a private bank used by the mob, specifically the Raymond Patriarca crime family. At the time, this job was the largest score in criminal history.
The film was directed by Tom DeNucci and written by B. Dolan & Tom DeNucci. The film was produced by Chad A. Verdi, Nick Koskoff, Michelle Verdi,Matthew J. Weiss, and Ryan M. Murphy.
