Deadline has the first trailer for Gangs Of London, the upcoming Sky Atlantic drama from The Raid director Gareth Evans.
Joe Cole leads a cast also featuring Sope Dirisu, Colm Meaney, Lucian Msamati and Michelle Farley. When the head of a criminal organisation, Finn Wallace (Colm Meaney) is assassinated, the sudden power vacuum his death creates threatens the fragile peace between the intricate web of gangs operating on the streets of the city. Now it’s up to the grieving, volatile and impulsive Sean Wallace (Joe Cole) to restore control and find those responsible for killing his father.
Corin Hardy and Xavier Gens also directed episodes of the nine-parter.
It was commissioned in partnership with Cinemax by Sky’s Managing Director of Content, Zai Bennett, and Cameron Roach, Sky Studios Director of Drama, with Sky Studios Gabriel Silver as the commissioning editor.
Producers are Pulse Films, in association with Sister Pictures. Executive producers include Thomas Benski and Lucas Ochoa for Pulse Films alongside Jane Featherstone for Sister.
The show will launch on Sky Atlantic and TV streaming service Now TV later this year, with plans for the U.S. rollout to be confirmed.
