Collider is reporting that Tyler Perry is set to join Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Hoult in Taylor Sheridan’s wilderness chase thriller “Those Who Wish Me Dead” at Bron Studios and Film Rites.
Sheridan, the “Sicario” screenwriter turned “Wind River” writer/director and “Yellowstone” creator, will direct the story based on Michael Koryta’s novel about a 14-year-old boy (Finn Little) who witnesses a brutal murder.

Jolie plays a woman who occupies a lonely fire lookout tower and is one of the few standing in the way between the thugs and the boy. Hoult will co-star as one of the vicious killers.
The site states that Perry’s supporting role is hasn’t been revealed. Other actors who may be in the mix for key roles, according to Collider, are Jon Bernthal (playing Jolie’s character’s ex), Jake Weber (playing Little’s character’s father), and Aiden Gillen (playing another one of the murderers, and Hoult’s character’s brother). None of those castings have been confirmed yet.

Creative Wealth Media will finance the indie movie, which is being produced by Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch of Film Rites and Aaron L. Gilbert on behalf of BRON Studios. CWM’s Jason Cloth will serve as executive producer. Production is expected to begin in May.
