Tyrese Gibson Set to Star in Action-Thriller ‘Dangerous’

Actor/singer Tyrese Gibson will be starring in David Hackl’s (Saw V) action-thriller Dangerous. Joining Gibson on the cast will be Mel Gibson (Braveheart), Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Famke Janssen (X-Men), and the recently added Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride).  Kevin DeWalt and Ben DeWalt for Minds Eye Entertainment will be producing the film along with Doug Falconer for Falconer Pictures. Executive producing is Michael Benaroya for his Benaroya Pictures with Todd Shepherd executive-producing for Miscellaneous Entertainment. 

Dangerous follows a reformed sociopath (Eastwood) who heads to a remote island upon the death of his brother. Soon after arriving, the island falls under siege from a deadly gang of mercenaries. He soon finds out that they have a bigger role in his brother’s death which sets him on a journey for revenge. Production is set to begin later this month in Canada.

Tyrese began his career in music with his self-titled debut album, Tyrese, in 1998. The artist has since released seven studio albums with the latest release being 2015’s Black Rose. Gibson made a smooth transition to movies with his role in John SIngleton’s Baby Boy and starred in most of the Fast & the Furious franchise movies. He can be seen in the upcoming The Christmas Chronicles 2, coming to Netflix on November 25.
