Executive produced by Lee Daniels, the film looks at life for women on the streets of New York amidst the hustles and dangers facing those working in the illegal sex trade.

Pimp cast - DMX, Keke Palmer, Haley Ramm, Aunjanue Ellis, Edi Gathegi, Vanessa Morgan

Pimp revolves around the character Wednesday (Palmer), who is in a relationship with a woman that she has grown up with, and decides to be a pimp. She soon realizes that in order for her and her girlfriend Nikki (Haley Ramm) to obtain a better life, she has to make far more money than she is currently making. With this in mind, Wednesday decides to steal a beautiful woman from a major pimp in the neighborhood, and winds up making more money than she anticipated. She gets caught up in the “pimp life,” and decides to pimp out Nikki; however, problems arise when Nikki fails to make as much money as the other woman.

Ellis will be playing “Gloria Ray”, Wednesday’s mother while DMX plays her dad. Gathegi plays a hard-core boxer-turned-pimp named Kenny Wayne. Morgan appears as a stripper who causes a rift between the two lead characters.

Alexis Varouxakis of 1821 Pictures and Adrenaline Entertainment is producing, along with Victoria Bousis, with Charlie Dibe co-producing. Corey Large, Nick Garyfallos, Bader Alghanim, Gina Saracino and Gary Ousdahl are executive producing.
