Viola Davis, Jennifer Lopez set to begin production on Charles Stone III’s ‘Lila & Eve’Posted by Wilson Morales

Production is set to begin in Atlanta on Charles Stone III‘s latest film, ‘Lila & Eve,’ starring two-time Academy Award nominee Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez.
Written by Pat Gilfillan, producers on the film include ChickFlick Productions (Sara Risher, Darrin Reed) and JuVee Productions (Julius Tennon, and Viola Davis).
Described as a “‘Thelma and Louise meets ‘Fight Club‘,” “Lila & Eve” will focus on two distraught mothers, who, on the heels of a tragic drive-by shooting, team up to avenge the deaths of their children when local inner city authorities fail to find the culprits.
Stone III, whose film credits include Drumline, Paid in Full, and Mr. 3000, recently directed the VH1 film, Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story, featuring Keke Palmer as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Lil’ Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. That hit a home run for the cable network, attracting 4.5 million viewers and making it the highest-rated original cable movie of 2013 and VH1’s highest-rated original movie ever.
