FOX has released the trailer to Season 2 of its hit series “Empire,” which returns to the network Wednesday, September 23 at 9:00pm ET/PT.
Cast includes: Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon, Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon, Jussie Smollett as Jamal Lyon, Bryshere Gray as Hakeem Lyon, Trai Byers as Andre Lyon, Grace Gealey as Anika Gibbons, Kaitlin Doubleday as Rhonda Lyon.
A number of celebrities will be making guest appearances throughout the season including Adam Rodriguez, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, and Lenny Kravitz, while Oscar winner Marisa Tomei has landed a recurring role as venture capitalist Mimi Whiteman.
It was also announced today that Pitbull will guest-star and perform on the show later this season. The musician will play himself and perform “No Doubt About It” with Jamal (Jussie Smollett), in an episode slated to air this fall.
From Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television, “Empire” was created by Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels and Emmy Award winner Danny Strong, and is executive-produced by Daniels, Strong, Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer, Ilene Chaiken and Francie Calfo.
