Lionsgate has released the trailer to Tyler Perry’s for Madea’s first animated film for his signature character Madea in Madea’s Tough Love, which becomes available on Digital HD January 13 and VOD January 20.
The comic adventure features the voice talent of Tyler Perry as “Madea” and “Uncle Joe” among others and Cassi Davis (TV’s “House Of Payne”) as “Aunt Bam” along with Rolonda Watts (TV’s “Curious George”), Avery Kidd Waddell (Road Trip), William “Bootsy” Collins (Night at the Museum) and Cree Summer (TV’s “WordGirl”). Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Tough Love is based on “Madea” created by Tyler Perry, from a story by Ben Chambers, screenplay by Matt Fleckenstein, supervising director is Frank Marino and produced for Tyler Perry Studios by Tyler Perry, Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore.

“After a hilarious run-in with the law,” the official description reads, “Madea is sentenced to community service. Determined to do good for the ’hood, Madea enlists Aunt Bam and Uncle Joe to try and save the Moms Mabley Youth Center from being shut down. With her irresistible sass and wisdom, Madea rallies the local kids to make a stand—and proves that behind her tough exterior is a whole lot of love!”
