Zoe Kravitz To Star As Bounty Hunter In Western Film ‘Black Belle’Posted by Wilson Morales

On the heels of having a great year with Divergent: Insurgent, Good Kill, Mad Max: Fury Road, and the upcoming film from Sundance, Dope, Zoe Kravitz is in hot demand these days.
Deadline is reporting that Kravitz is set to star in Black Belle, portraying a gunslinging hit woman from the Old West. Set in the time just after the Civil War, the film centers on a loner/bounty hunter who specializes in revenge killing when a client shows up with information about her mother’s murderer. It takes a turn when she realizes just who the alleged killer really is.
Black Belle will be directed by Shana Betz from an original screenplay by Tasha Huo. Produced by Chad Simpson’s Brain Scratch Prods in partnership with Mark Canton and Lawrence Smith’s Mad Riot Entertainment, the film is scheduled for production this September.
