72nd Emmy Nominations Announced Via Live Stream with Host Leslie Jones

In an announcement this morning during a livestream hosted by Leslie Jones, the 72nd Emmy Nominees were presented on emmys.com.

Among those nominees were 36 actors of color. In the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category are Don Cheadle for Black Monday and Anthony Anderson for black-ish with nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series going to Issa Rae for Insecure and Tracee Ellis Ross for black-ish.

The Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category includes nominations for Kerry Washington in Little Fires Everywhere, Octavia Spencer in Self Made: Inspired By The Life Of Madam C.J. Walker and Regina King for Watchmen.
