The Hulu Original Series “Deadbeat” premieres on Hulu and Hulu Plus today and you can watch the first episode down below.
DEADBEAT is a supernatural comedy starring Tyler Labine (“Reaper”) as Kevin, a hapless medium who will do anything to finish New York City ghosts’ unfinished business. Brandon T. Jackson (“Tropic Thunder”) plays Kevin’s best friend Roofie, Cat Deeley (“So You Think You Can Dance”) makes her scripted series debut as celebrity medium Camomile White and Lucy Devito (“Melissa & Joey”) plays Sue, Camomile’s put-upon assistant.
Not only is Roofie’s Kevin’s only friend, but he’s also a drug dealer and a constant source of emotional and, well, “pharmaceutical” support during Kevin’s ghost misadventures. A savvy businessman and entrepreneur, Roofie senses a medium deal of potential in Kevin, encouraging him to find the financial upside in dealing with the dead’s downside.
