Deadline reported that high school football drama All American is in talks to get a spinoff on the CW. If and when the series comes to fruition, it is said that the show will focus on Geffri Maya’s character, Simone Hicks. According to a TV Line article the spinoff will be introduced during a season 3 episode of All American. In the show, Simone attends a HBCU.
Simone was introduced in season two of All American, a Beverly High senior and expecting mother who she led boyfriend Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling) to believe he was the father. Geffri Maya can be seen on episodes of Black-ish and Private Practice.
All American is the sports drama created by April Blair inspired by the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger. The show comes from Warner Bros Television and CBS Television Studios in conjunction with Berlanti Productions.
