Based on the popular book by Angela Burt-Murray “Games Divas Play,” “Games People Play” the series is a sexy, stylized drama about the L.A. high life, where everyone plays to win.
The second season of the bold and sexy drama picks up with Marques (Sarunas Jackson) and Vanessa (Lauren London) learning the paternity of their new child as he struggles to find his footing on and off the court. Emmy Award winning actress Karrueche Tran will be joins the cast for the season two premiere.
With the murder of Kalinda Williams still fresh in the air, Marques King tries to navigate a failed marriage, a missing wife and daughter and his rocky NBA career; New Vipers Head of Brand Marketing, Eden Lazlo proves to be a handful and not so easily pegged by Marques; Laila decides to put her focus on her acting but is sidelined, confronted with someone from her hurtful past. Can she summon the strength to find her voice now when she couldn’t years ago? With the sudden loss of her boyfriend, Eric, Nia puts her investigative journalism skills to work and searches for the truth behind his death; MJ calls on his past to uncover the workings of a cult, only to be drawn in by both old feelings and new desires; Meanwhile, Kareem stumbles into a new NBA place for himself as a Viper color commentator. And on the love front, he and Quanisha seem to find their flow with a new business venture and new adventures as a couple – good and bad; As Kareem navigates Jamal being his father and the feelings that come with it, the senior King, Walter, Marques’ dad, comes to support his son during his time of need. All in all, Marques, Nia, Kareem, Laila, Quanisha and MJ find a soft place to land in true homies ~ each other.
