Will Packer’s latest addition to entertainment is Bigger than anyone expected. The comedic series starring Tanisha Long (High Maintenance), Angell Conwell (Family Time), Rasheda Crockett (Adam Ruins Everything), Chase Anthony (Journey of a Goddess), and Tristen Winger (Insecure) is one of BET+’s biggest (no pun intended) shows and is going into its second season set to premier on Thursday, April, 22 on the streamer. Bigger follows Layne, a single-black-woman and her close-knit group of 30-somethings as they navigate love, friendships, career ambitions, and the journey to getting Bigger, together. When a college acquaintance suddenly dies, the group is forced to take a deeper look at their messy lives, while asking themselves – is this it or is there something bigger and better?
Season one gave viewers a lot – Layne’s up and down’s with fiancé Greg (Warren Burke) and her vintage shop “Back in the Day”, Veronica’s struggle to get her rental property up and running & becoming Atlanta’s top real estate agent, Vince’s resistance to all things new in fear of “selling out”, Tracey’s battle to be the next big reality star, and Deon’s struggle with being black in corporate America while taking care of his family. Bigger touches on all of the topics that modern 30-somethings go through on the day to day, all with an animated twist.
Season two will be giving what fans have come to love from the series and more. The latest season is bringing two heavy hitters to the cast featuring Hip-Hop legend Christopher “Play” Martin as Deon’s soon-to-be father-in-law, Julius, and TV heiress Tori Spelling as Vince’s new love interest.
