HBO Max has unveiled the supersuit for the new highly anticipated character “Blackfire” (Damaris Lewis) from the action-packed DC series Titans. Costume designer, Laura Jean (“LJ”) Shannon, created the suit keeping with the previously revealed “Starfire” and “Red Hood” costumes. Titans is based on the DC comic Teen Titans, following a group of young heroes who join forces in their fight against evil. The Titans fight crime in Detroit, San Francisco and various other locations. Actress and model, Damaris Lewis, will be playing “Blackfire”, the evil sister of Kory Ander aka “Starfire”. Lewis’ character appeared throughout season 2, and upon the announcement of season 3, will be upgraded to series regular. Lewis appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues for three consecutive years (2009-2011) and can be seen in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman.
Returning to the screen with “Blackfire”, are: “Dick Grayson”, aka “Nightwing” (Brenton Thwaites); “Kory Anders”, aka “Starfire” (Anna Diop); “Rachel Roth”, aka “Raven” (Teagan Croft); “Gar Logan”, aka “Beast Boy” (Ryan Potter); “Donna Troy”, aka “Wondergirl” (Conor Leslie); “Jason Todd”, aka “Red Hood” (Curran Walters); and “Conner Kent”, aka “Superboy” (Joshua Orpin); with “Hank Hall”, aka “Hawk” (Alan Ritchson); and “Dawn Granger”, aka “Dove” (Minka Kelly).
The series was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, with Johns, Berlanti, Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers. Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The first two seasons of Titans are now available to stream on the HBO Max streaming service. Season three of the Max Original is currently in production and is set to premier later this year.
