‘Boss Moves With Rasheeda’: Philo & Kin Strike Deal On It’s First Original Series

Today it was announced that Philo inked a deal with entertainment company Kin to bring Boss Moves, with Love and Hip-Hop star Rasheeda Frost, better known as Rasheeda. The deal marks the platforms first foray ever into original programming.  The series will also be available, via Kin, across YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Boss Moves will begin shooting later this month and will include twelve thirty-minute episodes.

“We’re thrilled to bring Kin’s entertaining and diverse content to our platform for our subscribers,” said Mike Keyserling, COO, Philo. “Kin’s programming, which specifically focuses on entrepreneurship and female empowerment, is a great fit for Philo’s community. We are certain that Philo subscribers will enjoy the extensive catalog of Kin shows, as well as Boss Moves, our upcoming new original series with Rasheeda.”

In this new series, premiering April 2022, Rasheeda will welcome audiences into her homes and businesses and behind the scenes of her many financial decisions. Whether she’s tackling the restaurant game with Frost Bistro & Bar or international real estate with the purchase of a home in The Bahamas – nothing is out of bounds when it comes to Rasheeda.

Tejal Ajmera, COO of Kin, said, “Kin creates programming that resonates with women of all backgrounds, wherever they are watching.  We are excited to debut Boss Moves with Philo and are  confident it will attract audiences looking for strong, talented, and diverse talent.”

In addition to the news, Philo will bring to its digital platform more than 65 hours of Kin’s women’s lifestyle content, including Hello Hunnay with Jeannie  Mai Jenkins, Really, Truly, Maybe with Christina Milian, and Heart of the Batter with Jordin Sparks.  The library of Kin’s programs will be available as part of Philo’s base package for all subscribers.

Rasheeda is a fan-favorite reality TV superstar and former rapper, but also a highly successful entrepreneur and mogul in the making. Whether the Atlanta-native is showing viewers around her Pressed boutique, filled with her best fashion finds, or cooking up new cuisines in her beautiful kitchen, she’s always in boss mode strategizing her next big move.

Kin excels at creating lifestyle franchises for diverse women ages 25 to 40. Kin franchises are  distributed across owned social media channels and partner streaming platforms.
