Actress Chelsea Harris has been promoted to a series regular for season three of the popular TNT sci-fi thriller series Snowpiercer. The actress will be starring alongside Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, and Sean Bean. Chelsea Harris Upped To Series Regular on TNT’s ‘Snowpiercer’ for Season 3
Snowpiercer is set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland. It centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. The series is based on the 1982 Jacques Lob novel Le Transperceneige, which received a film in 2013 directed by Bong Joon-Ho.
Harris plays the role of ‘Sykes’, a covert operative, and the right-hand advisor to Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean). ‘Sykes’ is reserved and coolly efficient. She is well-versed in the dark arts of intelligence and, while she seems loyal, one begins to wonder whether she can be trusted at all. Harris joined the series in season two and will appear in eight episodes in season 3. New episodes air weekly on TNT and Netflix worldwide.
Snowpiercer comes from the same company that produced the film, CJ Entertainment, along with Tomorrow Studios. executive producing the series is Tomorrow Studios’ Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements; showrunner Manson, who rewrote the first episode; director James Hawes; Matthew O’Connor; Derrickson and the movie’s producers Bong Joon-Ho, Miky Lee, Tae-sung Jeong, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.
Harris’ television credits include Designated Survivor, Station 19, Baby Daddy, Stalker, NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy and more. The actress can be seen Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Top Gun: Maverick, which is set to be released on July 2, 2021. Harris has also landed a supporting role in Michael Bay’s Netflix film, Ambulance, opposite Eliza Gonzalez, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
