NBC’S long running “Saturday Night Live” will be kicking off its 46th season on Saturday October 3 with Chris Rock as guest host. The cast alumnus (1990-1993) will be hosting the show for the third time – his first two being in 1996 and 2014.
Rock will be re-inaugurating Studio 8H at Rockefeller Plaza for the first time since March. With just three post-it notes in a Tweet on Sept 24 the show also announced that Megan Thee Stallion will be gracing the stage for her first time as musical guest. To add to the punch, Jim Carrey will debut as Presidential candidate, Joe Biden, only four days after Biden and Trump go head to head in the first primetime Presidential debate.
The full cast will be returning for the first installment of its latest season, including its longest cast member to date, Kenan Thompson. Three new cast members have been added to the fold to add to the excitement of the season opener. The show comes right off the heels of the comedian’s starring role on FX’s hit show “Fargo” which premieres Sept. 27.
