The Wrap is reporting that Dennis Haysbert has been added to the cast of Seth McFarlane’s Ted 2, joining Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane and Mila Kunis along with newcomers Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Barth and Morgan Freeman.
The site states that his role will probably be a cameo appearance.
He’s also joining Legendary Digital and Crackle’s zombie movie “Dead Rising,” which is based on the popular Capcom zombie survival video game.
Directed by Zach Lipvosky, Dead Rising takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing the root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy.
Haysbert is having a fantastic year, having voiced a role in DreamWorks Animation’s “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” and then appearing in “Think Like a Man Too” followed by “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.” He will next be seen in Jason Reitman’s “Men, Women & Children” and Justin Simien’s “Dear White People.”
