Morgan Freeman Joins Cast Of ‘Ted 2’Posted by Wilson Morales

According to Variety, Morgan Freeman is set to join the cast of Universal and MRC’s “Ted 2.”
The site states that “plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say Freeman would play an iconic civil rights lawyer who comes into the picture when Ted needs to resolve some legal issues.”
Co-written by Alex Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, “Ted 2″ stars Seth MacFarlane, who is back writing, directing and voicing the titular vulgar teddy bear, Mark Wahlberg and majority of the original supporting cast (Patrick Warburton, Jessica Barth). Actress Amanda Seyfried has also joined the R-rated comedy, and several pop culture and A-list cameos expected in the sequel.
Currently film in Boston, the original “Ted,” co-starring Mila Kunis, grossed a whopping $549 million worldwide including $218 million at the domestic box office.
Freeman was most recently seen in Universal’s “Lucy” and can be seen in “Dolphin Tale 2.” Upcoming films include “Ruth and Alex,” which pairs him with Diane Keaton and “London Has Fallen,” the sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen.”
Ted 2 hits theaters June 26, 2015.
