Some new images have been posted online for Lee Daniels‘ historical drama The Butler, which stars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Jane Fonda, Lenny Kravitz, Cuba Gooding Jr., Liev Schreiber, Alex Pettyfer, John Cusack, Robin Williams, James Marsden, Alan Rickman, Terrence Howard, Minka Kelly, Jesse Williams, Melissa Leo, Vanessa Redgrave, Nelsan Ellis, Mariah Carey, and Yaya DaCosta.

The Butler is inspired by Wil Haygood’s Washington Post article about an African-American man who served as a butler (Whitaker) to eight Presidents in the White House for over thirty years. From this unique vantage point, the film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man’s life and family.

Robin Williams plays President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Melissa Leo as First Lady Mamie Eisenhower, James Marsden as President John F. Kennedy, Minka Kelly as First Lady Jackie Kennedy, Liev Schreiber as President Lyndon B. Johnson, John Cusack as President Richard M. Nixon, Alan Rickman as President Ronald Reagan, and Jane Fonda as First Lady Nancy Reagan.
