Nominations for the Golden Globes Awards were announced this morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and among the nominees are Halle Berry for Best Actress in a Drama (‘Frankie and Alice) and Idris Elba for Best Actor in Mini-Series or Film Made for TV (‘Luther’).

For Berry, it’s her third Golden Globe nod. In 1999, she won the award for for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film for HBO’s ‘Introducing Dorothy Dandridge,’ and was also nominated in 2002 for for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama for ‘Monster’s Ball.’ She would later win the Oscar for the latter film.

‘The King’s Speech’ led the film categories with seven nominations, including nods for Best Film, Best Actor in a Drama, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Director.

NBC will telecast the 68th annual Golden Globes live from Los Angeles on both coasts Sunday, Jan. 16.
