Idris Elba To Produce Series and Films for AppleTV+

Idris Elba is set to produce series and films for AppleTV+ after entering a first-look deal with the network according to Deadline.

Elba, famously known for some of televisions most iconic characters like Stringer Bell in the HBO Series The Wire, will produce content via his company Green Door Pictures. The production company was founded in 2013 to champion diversity of thought. Green Door Pictures works with emerging and established talent to produce content that is innovative, entertaining and though-provoking as stated on their website.

Some of the more recent roles taken on by Elba include hunky villain Brixton in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw in 2019 and Heimdall in the Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.
