The official trailer for HBO series House of the Dragon was released today. The ten-episode drama debuts Sunday August 21st on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
House of the Dragon – House Velaryon
House Velaryon has sparked debates across fan pages and chat groups as the show creators have cast black actors to represent the house. With some fans referencing no clear delineation of race in the George R. R. Martin fantasy series, other have gone down the rabbit hole of family lineage and rumored plot points to take issue with the choice. To them I say; RELAX and enjoy the journey as they ride fire breathing dragons.
