The Fifth Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, hosted by comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, graced the International Ballroom at the iconic Beverly Hilton with a wave of energy and inspiration, honoring cultural trailblazers across entertainment, politics, and media. But beyond the red carpet glamour and moving speeches, it was music that proved to be the soul of the evening as it opened with an unforgettable mic pass featuring Keke Palmer, Yolanda Adams, and vocal coach Stevie Mackey.

Presented by Hollywood Unlocked, the media powerhouse founded by Jason Lee, this year’s ceremony honored a powerful slate of changemakers: Don Lemon, Fantasia, Keke Palmer, Lemuel Plummer, Niecy Nash Betts, Vic Mensa, and Warren G. Each honoree was celebrated not only for their professional accomplishments, but for the cultural impact they’ve made through fearlessness, community engagement, and authenticity.

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett honored Don Lemon with the Social Impact Award, while Yolanda Adams presented the Inspiration Award to powerhouse vocalist Fantasia. Keke Palmer received the Spirit Award from Meagan Good, sharing an emotional speech about faith, perseverance, and believing in oneself even during moments of doubt. “Even when you don’t feel ready. Even when the path forward isn’t obvious… that’s the spirit I’ve leaned on time and time again,” Palmer said.

Niecy Nash Betts, recipient of the Fearlessness Award, declared, “When you allow people to show up as their full self, you don’t just change lives, you save them.” She was honored by Da Brat and Jesseca Harris-Dupart.

Other standout moments included Vic Mensa receiving the Community Award from surprise presenter Lena Waithe, Warren G receiving the Culture Award from legendary radio host Big Boy and Phaedra Parks and Nene Leakes taking the stage to surprise Lemuel Plummer with the Innovator Award.

The evening was packed with powerful performances by Andra Day, Fantasia, Jessica Betts, Johnny Gill, Yolanda Adams and a surprise opening from Tiffany Haddish. But the standout musical moment came during an impromptu mic pass, where Keke Palmer, Yolanda Adams, and Stevie Mackey traded runs, harmonies, and heartfelt notes that unified the room in a moment that perfectly captured the heartbeat of the night.

Following the ceremony, Mya surprised guests with a high-energy performance at the afterparty, bringing the celebration full circle.

Jason Lee addressed the audience, reflecting on the mission behind Hollywood Unlocked. “It’s about ownership. It’s about freedom. It’s about having the ability to control our narratives and in some cases redirect them.”

Among the star-studded attendees were Evan Ross, Yaya DaCosta, Jonathan Majors, Joyner Lucas, Tiwa Savage, Daphnique Springs, Wack100, Chelsea Tavares, Cynthia Bailey, Annie Ilonzeh, and more.
