La La Anthony, Debbie Morgan Lands Recurring Roles on 50 Cent’s ‘Power’Posted by Wilson Morales

La La Anthony, who was recently seen in David E. Talbert’s Baggage Claim, has landed a recurring role on Starz’s new series ‘Power,’ reports The Wrap.
“Power” follows James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), who’s living a double life as a wealthy New York City nightclub owner and the leader of NYC’s high-end drug trade. Naturi Naughton plays Tasha St. Patrick, James’ wife and willing accomplice. The series also stars Joseph Sikora, Lela Loren, Sinqua Walls, and Kathrine Narducci.
The site states that she’ll play LaKeisha Grant, a childhood friend and closest confidante to Tasha, but is kept in the dark on certain aspects of Tasha’s life out of necessity. Morgan will play Estelle, Tasha’s mother.
Since leaving her career as an MTV VJ and one of the hosts of “Total Request Live” from 1998-2002, Anthony steadily racked up some film and TV credits, including roles on NBC”s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” VH1′s “Single Ladies,” and “Think Like a Man.” She’s slated to return to ‘Man’s sequel “Think Like a Man Too,” and has role in Tommy Oliver’s upcoming drama “1982,” opposite Hill Harper.
Morgan is known for playing Angie Hubbard on the soap opera “All My Children.”
Executive produced by 50 Cent, Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and David Knoller in association with CBS Television Studios, the series was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (“The Good Wife”), who will also serve as executive producer and showrunner.
