According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael B. Jordan is re-entering the Marvel universe and reuniting with director Ryan Coogler in ‘Black Panther.’
Jordan starred for Coogler in Fruitvale Station and the Rocky spinoff film Creed.
Details of the Jordan’s role are currently unknown, but rumor suggest that he may be playing the film’s villain. Earlier this week, it was announced that Lupita Nyong’o in talks for a leading role opposite lead Chadwick Boseman, who will be reprising his role as T’Challa following his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War.
Jordan previously appeared as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch in Fantastic Four. Coincidentally, Chris Evans previously played the role of Johnny Storm before being offered and now playing the role of Captain America.
Jordan’s upcoming projects include a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, and Just Mercy with Short Term 12 director Destin Cretton.
Black Panther hits theaters on February 2, 2018.
