Leading cast member/co-creator Jean Elie (Insecure, Colin in Black & White) and writer/co-creator Mike Gauyo (Insecure) sat down with blackfilm.com correspondent Koku Tona to talk their new ALLBLK’s dramedy series Send Help. The first season is set to premiere August 11 and will air weekly on Thursdays. The team talked about the inspiration behind the series, their journey to Hollywood, and having to work multiple jobs along the way to pursue their dreams!

ALLBLK hosted a red carpet screening event and rooftop cocktail reception to celebrate the new dramedy series Send Help on Thursday, August 4th.
Talent in attendance included co-creator and lead actor Jean Elie and co-creator Mike Gauyo, as well as additional cast members Karen Obilom (Games People Play, upcoming House Party reboot), Karina Bonnefil (Snowfall, David Makes Mann), Macc Plaise (Luke Cage), Amin Joseph (Snow Fall), Catfish Jean (To Leslie), Courtney Taylor (Insecure) and fresh new face Ana Bowen. Other celebrity guests included Kendrick Sampson, Estelle, Nicole Murphy and Andrea Lewis.
