Kristen V. Carter is an award-winning content creator, entrepreneur and speaker from Newark, New Jersey. She has produced for a variety of television’s top programs including HBO Max’s Legendary, OWN’s Ready to Love and NBC’s The Voice.
Her latest project is executive producing the upcoming Discovery+/OWN series, “Profiled: The Black Man.” Produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, the series aims to show the difficulties Black men face today, while highlighting and celebrating the triumphs and successes of everyday living.
Trell Thomas is a media expert and activist whose work spans from career beginnings at NBC, to the historic Obama Presidential Campaign in 2008, to overseeing talent relations and communications for some of the biggest brands at Viacom to perfectly align social good causes, corporations and celebrities.
Emmy and 8-time NAACP Image winner P. Frank Williams is a versatile executive producer and showrunner with nearly three decades of experience in Film, TV and journalism. He has produced celebrated shows like TV One’s Unsung, BET’S American Gangster, Copwatch America, and the BET Awards. Along with civil rights attorney Ben Crump, he produced and starred in A&E’s investigative series Who Killed Tupac?, and was also an EP at TMZ.

Through a powerful mixture of historical footage, real-life testimony, and commentary from an array of renowned thought leaders, “Profiled: The Black Man” aims to show the difficulties Black men have faced, both in the past and present-day, while also highlighting and celebrating the triumphs and resilience of countless extraordinary men. In addition, each episode will feature commentary from notable community members such as executive producer Tina Knowles-Lawson, civil rights activist DeRay Mckesson, activist Tamika Mallory, hip-hop culture icon Sway Calloway, the Grammy, Emmy and Tony award-winning Billy Porter and more.
