Regé Jean-Page & Alfre Woodard Set to Star in Netflix’s ‘The Gray Man’

Alfre Woodard and Bridgerton‘s Regé Jean-Page are joining the cast of the Russo Brothers’ Netflix film The Gray Man. Deadline confirmed that the two would be rounding out the Ryan Gosling lead film along with Billy Bob Thorton, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Wagner Moura, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush and Julia Butters. The action thriller is already setting records at Netflix with it being the the largest budget feature film in the streamers history. Producing alongside Netflix will be the Russo Brothers banner AGBO productions. Regé Jean-Page Alfre Woodard Set Star Netflix’s Gray Man

The Gray Man is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 debut novel of the same name, also marking the first novel to feature Court Gentry, freelance assassin and former CIA operative, aka The Grayman. The film follows Gentry (Gosling) as he’s hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA. The script is written by the Russo brothers with recent revisions made by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and is based on the first installment of the series. Producing are AGBO’s Mike Larocca and Joe Roth alongside the Russo’s, with Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Castaldi producing under Roth Kirschenbaum.

Regé Jean-Page is the breakout heart-throb lead from Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix series Bridgerton. He has recently starred in Amazon’s Sylvie’s Love with Tessa Thompson and served as host for popular sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live. Page is slated to star in Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons (yet to be titled).

Alfre Woodard is a Hollywood vet with more than 100 film and television credits under her belt. The Oscar nominated actress has starred in Spike Lee’s Crooklyn, Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, and the recent Chinonye Chukwu film Clemency. The colorfully decorated actress has won four Emmy’s, three Screen Actor’s Guild awards, and one Golden Globe. Woodard has even been named “The 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century” by The New York Times.
