“SAFETY” produced by Mark Ciardi, directed by Reginald Hudlin, and written by Randy McKinnon and Nick Santora, is a biographical drama based on the true story of former Clemson Tiger cornerback Ray McElrathbey.
McElrathbey was a student at Clemson University on a football scholarship when he took full custody of his little brother Fahmarr, 11, to avoid entering him into the foster system while his mother completed drug rehab.
This is a story about compassion, family, and how the entire Clemson community rallied around McElrathbey and revolutionized the NCAA’s rules.
