Hitting theaters on March 8 from Marvel Studios is Captain Marvel, starringAcademy Award winner Brie Larson in the title role.
Directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, whose credits include “Mississippi Grind” and “Half Nelson,” the cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law..

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Having appeared in nearly all of the MCU films as Nick Fury, this is the first film in which audiences get to see a younger Fury before the eye patch. Blackfilm.com correspondent Reina Brown recently sat down with Jackson to talk about his character in the film, and working with Brie Larson.
