Prime Video released the official Upload Season Two trailer and first look images ahead of its March 11 premiere date. The seven-episode second season will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. Watch trailer below!
Upload is a sci-fi comedy series from Emmy award-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation), set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers and automated grocery stores are the norm. Most uniquely, humans can choose to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife.
In Upload Season Two, Nathan is at a crossroads in his (after) life… his ex-girlfriend Ingrid has unexpectedly arrived to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel Nora. Meanwhile Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group “The Ludds.” Season Two is packed with new near-future concepts, including Lakeview’s newest in-app digital baby program, called “prototykes,” and other satirical glimpses of the technological advances and headaches to come.
The series was created by Greg Daniels who also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein.
Series stars: Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy, and Josh Banday as Ivan, and Andrea Rosen as Lucy.
Andy Allo
Andy Allo is a singer and actress that can next be seen as Nora in the Amazon Original series Upload alongside Robbie Amell, premiering Spring 2020. She can also currently be seen on Chicago Fire and is best known for her role as Serenity in Pitch Perfect 3. She is also known for working with Prince’s New Power Generation as a singer/guitarist and worked with the legend on her album, Superconductor. She has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Guitar Center Sessions, Billboard Sessions Exclusive and most recently completed a short run with Enrique Iglesias and a solo residency in Los Angeles.
Andy can be seen in the film The Hero, starring Sam Elliot, which received buzz from Sundance and SXSW. Past credits also include Black Lightning and The Game.
Zainab Johnson
Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer from Harlem, NY, recently hailed by Variety as a Top 10 Comic To Watch. Johnson’s comedy is based on her unique point-of-view, which was shaped growing up as one of thirteen siblings in a Muslim family. Johnson can currently be seen playing the role of Aleesha on the Greg Daniels Amazon Original series Upload and hosting Netflix’s 100 Humans, a social experiment where 100 individuals take part in interactive experiments exploring sex, happiness, torture and all the other aspects of being human. Johnson is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in NY and the Comedy Store and Improv in LA. She’s made appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, HBO’s All Def Comedy, MTV’s Acting Out, and NBC’s Last Comic Standing. She had a breakout performance at The Melbourne Comedy Festival and regularly returns to Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival.
