Over the weekend, Sleepy Hollow cast members Orlando Jones, Lyndie Greenwood, Sakina Jaffrey along with Co-Creator/Executive Producers Len Wiseman and Phillip Iscove came down to the 2014 New York Comic Con to help promote Season 2, which is currently on the air.

Lyndie Greenwood as Sleepy Hollow's Jenny Mills

The series follows the adventures of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) as they fends off the forces of evil to save not only their town, but the world.

For Greenwood, who plays Jenny Mills, Abbie’s younger sister, fans of the series will get to see more of her as she’s now a regular member of the show. In Season 1, she had a recurring status. Prior to joining the series, she was best known for her role as Sonya on The CW’s Nikita.

According to Wikipedia if you haven’t watched the series from the beginning, Jenny was confined in an institution for mental patients. Both sisters witnessed the rise of the second Horseman when they were children. She briefly broke out of the institution, but has since returned after Abbie assured Jenny that she accepted what they had seen and would work to get her released legally. She eventually told Abbie that she was once possessed by a demon that told her to kill her sister and that she would purposely get herself arrested to protect her. She later takes part in helping to solve the mysteries surrounding the Horseman.

In Season 2 so far, there is tension between the sisters but they still watch out for each other.

It’s good to see you and Orlando out here at Comic Con.

Lyndie Greenwood: When Orlando and I first worked together, the reaction from the fans was really surprising. They were like, “Oh. We didn’t realize that was there.” We’re really great friends and I think you read that on-screen, which is great.

What do you think about the way the show approaches female characters. They are all super confident.

LG: Yes, Jenny’s a go-getter.I love it. I think it’s great. The show breaks a lot of ground in many ways with sex dynamics and gender dynamics and racial dynamics. I love that it’s not about that though and that it’s incredible.

Can you talk about Abbie and Jenny’s relationship? It looks complicated but at the same time, they have each other’s back.

LG: I think that’s what’s beautiful about Abbie and Jenny. They worked really hard to get where they are now and they are going to try to maintain this relationship. They are really all they have. To Jenny, Abbie is her everything, but they are throwing challenges all the time and trying to keep this relationship healthy and growing through it all is really interesting.

What drew you to this series?

LG: As an actor, you’re just happy to get a job most of the time, but I saw the ads for the pilot before I got an audition. I was really excited to watch the show because I love genre, so it’s a perfect show for me to be on because I love this kind of stuff. So I was really excited about it.

What are some of your favorite genres?

LG: Well, I love comics as well and I love sic-fi and horror, even though I am the biggest scaredy-cat. Katia Winter and I live together and I’m constantly being pranked by her. Last night, I went to this haunted house called ‘Blood Manor’ and it was terrifying. I really embarrassed myself. I love it maybe because I’m an adrenaline junket. You don’t really feel that way in real life. The stakes are so high.

If you weren’t on this show, is there another series you would like to be on?

LG: I’d love to be on The Walking Dead. I love those comics and the show does a good job.

How would you describe Abbie and Jenny’s approach in fighting the bad guys?

LG: I think it speaks to their different personalities. Jenny is blunt and brash and Abbie is bit more rationale and level-headed. Jenny just makes a decision and gets it done. She’s also never been a cop and she’ll do things illegally if she has to. Abbie is an officer of the law and respects it. I guess those are some differences.

Jenny seems to have connections all over town. Will we see more of that?

LG: I like this season because you get a chance to see everyone connect with everybody it seems. So, you’ll see her dynamic with everybody.

Sleepy Hollow airs Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.
