Cardi B Leads First Movie in ‘Assisted Living’

Larger than life rapper Cardi B. has snagged her first leading role in the movie Assisted Living, an upcoming comedy from Paramount. The film is described as a “raucous comedy” with “tremendous heart” that is reminiscent of classic comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire, Sister Act, and Tootise. Assisted Living follows Amber (Cardi B.), a small-time crook who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find a hideout. Running out of options, Amber disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look — her estranged grandmother’s nursing home.

Cardi B. has been featured on the big screen before as she starred alongside Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, and Constance Wu in the 2019 crime-drama Hustlers. She can also be seen in Universal’s upcoming film F9, an installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
