Amazon Studios has just announced that they will be exclusively premiering Coming 2 America on March 5, 2021. Based on the original Eddie Murphy led Coming to America, the sequel is penned by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and was directed by Craig Brewer. Audiences will be happy to see a lot of the original cast return like Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones. To add to the list of notables, Black Panther stylist Ruth E. Carter served as the costume designer for the film. Executive producing are Brian Olive, Bradley Fischer, Valerii An, Kenya Barris, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, Michele Imperato Stabile and Andy Berman.
Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.
