Genius Sets Martin Luther King Jr. as Season 4 Focus on Disney+

Genius, National Geographic’s Anthology series, is moving to Disney+ for its fourth season. The new season will focus on legendary Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King Jr. News of the move was made by National Geographic President, Courtney Monroe, during Disney’s Investor Day.

Genius is an anthology period drama series that highlights historical figures that have made great impacts in their fields. Season one highlighted Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso for season two. The third season is set to showcase iconic Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, which is set to be released next year. The series was developed by Noah Pink and Kenneth Biller for Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine TV and 20th Television.
