Debuting on Blu-ray and DVD August 9th is the romantic comedy ‘Jumping The Broom,’ which features an all-star ensemble cast (Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Laz Alonso, Mike Epps, Loretta Devine, Meagan Good, Tasha Smith, DeRay Davis, Julie Bowen, Romeo Miller, Gary Dourdan, Pooch Hall, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Valarie Pettiford).
The film explores the universal themes of passion, love and family when two families of different backgrounds come together for a wedding.
‘Jumping the Broom‘ was directed by Salim Akil from a story by Elizabeth Hunter and a screenplay by Elizabeth Hunter and Arlene Gibbs. T.D. Jakes, Tracey E. Edmonds, Curtis Wallace, Elizabeth Hunter, and Glendon Palmer served as producers.
When a marriage brings together the bride’s (played by Paula Patton) upper crust relatives with the groom’s (played by Laz Alonso) downtown family, not even love can conquer all of the difficulties in this romantic comedy.
