Natalie Martinez, who’s currently on ABC’s Secrets and Lies, has been added to the cast of the action-thriller ‘Message From The King,’ joining Chadwick Boseman, Teresa Palmer, Luke Evans and Alfred Molina.

With Fabrice Du Welz attached as the film’s director, from a script by Stephen Cornwell and Oliver Butcher, Boseman stars as Jacob, a South African who descends into the Los Angeles underworld in an attempt to avenge his younger sister’s death and rescue her stepson from the immoral world into which he’s been sold.

Evans will play a Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist who provides services both legal and illegal and offers to help King find his sister. Palmer will play a mother who turns tricks to support both her drug habit and 6-year-old daughter, while Molina plays a Hollywood producer who has underworld connections and may or may not know where the stepson is.

Martinez has the role of Trish, the former neighbor of Jacob’s missing sister Bianca who he recruits to help find the woman’s murderer.

The Ink Factory’s Stephen Cornwell and Simon Cornwell are producing with Rumble Films’ David Lancaster. Boseman wil also exec produce with Boseman’s writing and producing partner Logan Coles also co-producing.

Martinez will next be seen in the Focus Feature summer pic Self/Less starring Ryan Reynolds and Ben Kingsley. Her other film credits include End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal, Death Race with Tyrese Gibson and Broken City with Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg.
