The 26th annual Critics Choice Awards kicked off this evening with Taye Diggs hosting the festivities live from a stage in LA. The annual ceremony honors the finest in cinematic achievements picked by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association. Actress, model and activist Zendaya walked away with a notable win for the evening; being the recipient of the fifth annual SeeHer award. The award recognizes a woman who embodies the values set forth by the SeeHer movement, to push boundaries, defy stereotypes and acknowledge the importance of authentic portrayals of women across the entertainment landscape. Malcolm & Marie co-star John David Washington presented the award during the ceremony.
