Actor Boris Kodjoe, currently seen as himself in BET’s hit comedy series Real Husbands of Hollywood, has joined the cast of CBS’ procedural drama, Unforgettable, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Appearing in the first episode of Season 3, Kodjoe will play Secret Service Agent Benjamin Hernandez. “Benjamin informs the Major Case team that he and his partner, Agent Briggs, are taking over the murder case because of its connection to a federal counterfeit case they’ve been working on called “Mata Hari.” Adversarial and territorial at first, Benjamin comes to appreciate the team, especially Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery).”
In 2010, Kodjoe starred opposite Gugu Mbata-Raw (‘Belle’) in NBC’s shortlived spy drama Undercovers. He is best known for his role as courier-turned-sports agent Damon Carter on the Showtime drama series Soul Food, opposite his wife Nicole Ari Parker. The two would go on to star in the UPN short-lived series Second Time Around.
Last seen on the big screen in David E. Talbert’s Baggage Claim, his other film credits include Resident Evil franchise, Surrogates, Brown Sugar, The Gospel and Madea’s Family Reunion. His next film is the upcoming Bille Woodruff film Addicted.
Unforgettable returns for the remainder of its sophomore season April 4 on CBS.
