The Post-it Notes are up! Today, Saturday Night Live announced via twitter the hosts and musical guests for the next two installments of the late night sketch comedy show. Comedian and actor Keegan-Michael Key will make his SNL hosting debut on May 15 with , while The Queen’s Gambit’s star – Anya Taylor-Joy – will make her hosting premier on May 22. Key Nas X SNL
As equally important as the hosts themselves, the musical guests for the May shows were also announced. Starring alongside Key will be the controversial rapper Lil Nas X, making his first appearance as SNL musical guest. The Grammy Award-winning artist’s latest single, MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name), debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Also making their musical debut to the show is Disney alum Olivia Rodrigo who will appear on Taylor-Joy’s May 22 episode. Her debut album, Sour, featuring the record-breaking global hit single drivers license, is due out May 21.
Anya Taylor-Joy will make her SNL hosting debut for the season finale on May 22. Taylor-Joy stars in Netflix’s global hit series The Queen’s Gambit, for which she won a SAG Award, Golden Globe Award and Critics Choice Award.
Keegan-Michael Key is a comedian and actor most known for the Comedy Central sketch comedy show Key & Peele, where he co-created and co-starred with Jordan Peele. Most recently, Key can be seen in Netlfix’s 2020 releases Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story and The Prom. The Emmy Award winner next stars in Schmigadoon!, premiering globally July 16 on Apple TV+.
