Disney+ Adds Chadwick Boseman Tribute to ‘Black Panther’

Disney+ honored the late Chadwick Boseman by adding a special montage tribute to the beginning of Marvel’s Black Panther. The premier viewing of the special addition was on the actors birthday, November 29, and is available to view on Twitter. Bob Iger, Disney’s Executive Chairman, says the montage is “a special tribute to someone that was and always will be near and dear to our hearts.”

Boseman secretly battled with colon cancer for four years as he continued to work and advocate for children with cancer. Boseman passed on August 28 leaving behind a legacy for years to come with his roles in 42, Get on Up, Marshall, 21 Bridges and more. Most famously, Boseman’s character T’Challa in Black Panther is what solidified his place in hearts around the world. The actor made his last performance alongside Viola Davis in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, available to stream now on Netflix. Watch the special montage below.
