Actor and rapper Scott Mescudi (AKA Kid Cudi) is executive producing and starring in the upcoming horror film X. The project is coming from the brain of Ti West in conjunction with A24 and Bron Studios. Ti West will be directing as well as writing along with A24, Jacob Jaffke, Kevin Turen, Sam Levinson, and Ashley Levinson producing through their Little Lamb Productions. No extra details have been released about the film, but it can be expected to have similarities to Wests’ past work. West has a variety of horror films under his belt including; The Innkeepers, The Sacrament, and In The Valley of Violence starring Ethan Hawke.
Mescudi is well known amongst circles for his musical contributions as Kid Cudi; debuting with his 2009 album Man on the Moon: The End of Day and his latest album being 2018’s Kids See Ghost. Mescudi has added an impressive body of work to his acting portfolio and can be seen in HBO’s How to Make it in America (2010), Westworld (2020), and We Are Who We Are (2020). The actor can be seen opposite Gary Oldman in the upcoming film Dreamland. Mescudi also has executive producing credits on the soon to be released Zendaya and John David Washington love story Malcolm & Marie.
